Summary:
This resolution recognizes and appropriates unanticipated revenue of $35,000.00 in the FY16 General Fund budget for Economic Development. The revenue is the result of the Agreement for Services to Small Businesses with the City of Clearwater (City).
Background Information:
On November 24, 2015, the County executed an agreement with the City for the purpose of supporting small businesses. The Florida Small Business Center, located at Economic Development, will provide consulting services and business training to support growing businesses, as well as individuals aspiring to small business ownership. Under the agreement, the City will pay the County quarterly installments of $8,750.00 for a total of $35,000.00.
Fiscal Impact:
Adoption of this resolution provides for the receipt of $35,000.00 in unanticipated revenue and increases the FY16 operating expense budget by $35,000.00. This revenue and associated expense was not anticipated during the development of the FY16 budget.
