SS4A grants can be used to implement projects or strategies that are consistent with an existing Action Plan to address a roadway safety problem. The County will leverage the Safe Streets Pinellas Action Plan to demonstrate the roadway safety problem to be addressed with grant funds.
The Keystone Road and East Lake Road intersection is identified as a Hot Spot in the Safe Streets Pinellas Action plan, which is a plan that is based on a data-driven analysis to identify a High Injury Network and Hot Spot locations. The project aligns with SS4A priorities.
