Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the First Amendment to exercise a term extension with Stryker Sales, LLC for Stryker Medical - Hydraulic Stretchers.
• Purchase of this medical equipment allows for the continued standardization of equipment and training across all agencies.
• This First Amendment provides for the first, twenty-four (24) month term extension resulting in an increase of $315,178.00.
• Per County Code 2-188(D), the County Administrator has authority to approve term extensions included in the original executed Board of County Commissioner (BCC) approved agreement.
• On July 19, 2022, the BCC approved this agreement for a period of twelve months in the amount of $284,088.08 with the option for two additional 24-month term extensions.

Summary
This First Amendment to the Agreement provides for a twenty-four (24) month extension and an increase in the amount of $315,178.00 for the purchase of ten (10) additional Power-PRO XT Powered Ambulance Cots and ten (10) additional Stair-PRO Stair Chairs.
EMS has a goal to remove all manual stretchers from the EMS system and replace them with power stretchers. The continued purchase of this medical equipment allows for the standardization of equipment and training across all agencies.
