Resolution dedicating a County-owned parcel in St. Petersburg as public right-of-way.

Recommended Action:

Recommended Action

Adopt a resolution dedicating County-owned property in St. Petersburg identified as Parcel ID# 27-31-16-15408-003-0162 (Property) as public right-of-way (ROW). The Property was purchased in 2023 for the 22nd Avenue South (51st Street to 34th Street) roadway improvements project for the purpose of being utilized as ROW.

 

                     The Property was purchased by the County on October 19, 2023, to connect to the adjoining ROW. 

                     The County has installed a sidewalk on the Property, which is currently being used by the general public.

                     The segment to be dedicated as ROW will provide seamless connection to the adjoining ROW to the east and west.

                     This resolution has no fiscal impact on Pinellas County.

 

Authorize the Clerk of the Circuit Court to record the resolution in public records of Pinellas County.

Approval of the resolution is necessary to dedicate the Property as public ROW in order to provide a continuous and seamless connection to the adjoining ROW along 22nd Avenue South.

Background Information:

The County’s Roadway Improvements Project included road widening, drainage improvements, and sidewalk enhancements along 22nd Avenue South. As part of the Project, the County purchased the Property, installed a sidewalk on it, and it has been used by the general public ever since. It is recommended that the Property be formally dedicated as ROW.

 

Fiscal Impact:

This resolution has no fiscal impact on Pinellas County.
