Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to the agreement with Michael Baker International, Inc. for professional engineering services pertaining to the Cargo Apron Reconstruction and Replacement of Runway 9-27.

 

                     The Second Amendment increases the contract in the amount of $100,000.00 to complete project, testing and other various project related duties associated with post-design services due to the project construction duration being extended.

                     This contract was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners December 7, 2021, in the amount of $1,834,858.45. The First Amendment to the Agreement provided a time only extension from December 27, 2023, to December 27, 2024.

                     Funding for this amendment is available under Cargo Apron Rehab and Runway 9/27 Conversion (CIP Project 000033A), included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Airport Revenue and Operating Fund, Florida Department of Transportation Grant Funds, and Passenger Facility Charges, in the amount of $13,168,000.00.

Background/Explanation:

This contract is for the requirements of professional engineering services for the reconstruction and replacement of Runway 9-27 at the St. Pete-Clearwater International Airport.

This contract was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners December 7, 2021, in the amount of $1,834,858.45. The First Amendment to the Agreement provided a time only extension from December 27, 2023, to December 27, 2024.
