Summary:
This Amendment will provide a six-month extension to allow for the completion of work in progress and event equipment purchases.
In accordance with the Board’s approval of BP projects and associated funding for each project on December 13, 2016, a funding agreement with Greater Palm Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce was approved on May 23, 2017 to provide for capital improvements to the Greater Palm Harbor Area Chamber of Commerce by creating Palm Harbor Visitor’s Center and to provide community event equipment to be used by the Chamber and community partners.
Background/Explanation:
The Chamber has made improvements that have included educational programs and opportunities; through buying new computer equipment and software; upgrading the phone system; replacing interior furniture; painting; landscaping; and providing signage; and purchasing items needed for community events such as a digital sign; barricades, and a golf cart. The extension will allow for completion of interior improvements and the purchase and installation of a shed.
Fiscal Impact:
The original Funding Agreement provides funding of $78,080.00 from the $7.1 million in BP Economic Settlement Funds. This amendment is a time-only extension and does not change the funding amount. Funding for this purpose is appropriated in the FY18 Budget. The County shall have no obligations related to maintenance, operation, and/or any other activity yielding a fiscal impact.

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Interlocal Agreement is granted under Resolution No. 16-90 adopted on December 13, 2016.
