Approval of the Federal Emergency Management Administration (FEMA) Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Assurances - Construction Programs form for the Signalization Improvements Project converting to mast arm at nine locations.

 

                     Assurances - Construction Program is a federal form required for all construction projects using FEMA funds.

                     The form specifies construction compliance requirements for use of Hazard Mitigation Grant Program funds.

                     No fiscal impact.

                     Board of County Commission Chairman required to sign form as grant agreement was signed by the Chairman.

 

PID No. 005750A; Florida Division of Emergency Management Agreement No. 4486-125-R; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Summary

The HMGP Assurances - Construction Program form is required for use of the specified funds. There is no fiscal impact to this request.   The FDEM notified the County that the Assurances - Construction Program form must be signed for all open projects using funds from FEMA.  FDEM is required to have this signed form in their files for audit purposes.

Background Information:

The original Agreement was approved by the BCC on September 19, 2023, for mast arm conversions at nine intersections in the amount of $5,383,682.70.  The Agreement term ends January 31, 2026. The nine (9) projects are currently in design and scheduled for construction in Fiscal Year 2026.
