• The Purchasing and Risk Management Division received three responsive bids with award recommendation to Patterson Veterinary Supply Inc. as the lowest responsive responsible bidder for a thirty-six-month expenditure of $1,863,853.91.
• Estimated average annual expenditure is $581,284.64.
Contract No. 21-0547-B(MJ) in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,863,853.91 for thirty-sixty months, as the lowest responsive, responsible bidder meeting specifications; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

This contract is for annual requirements of veterinary drugs and supplies for Animal Services. This is a new contract with an existing vendor to replace an expiring contract.
This is a three (3) year contract with provision for price adjustments after the initial twelve (12) months and annually thereafter based upon Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price list.

Background Information:
On October 1, 2021, the Purchasing and Risk Management Division released an Invitation to Bid with the intent to establish a contract for veterinary drugs and supplies. The County received three submissions. Patterson Veterinary Supply Inc. was selected as the lowest responsive and responsible bidder.
Contract No. 21-0547-B(MJ) in the not-to-exceed amount of $1,863,853.91 for thirty-six (36) months, based on the lowest responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications.

Funding is derived from the Animal Services Department operating budget and is appropriated allocated in the annual budget for medical supplies.
