Summary:
These Proco check valves are the only valves in the industry which provide a flexible elastomeric Neoprene material. The elastomeric Neoprene provides resistance to algae, flame, and barnacles. These valves are extremely durable and easy to inspect, clean, and maintain for Public Works internal crews. The elastomeric neoprene provides flexibility for a standard 790 valve off shelf installation into multiple pipe sizes versus the expense of custom fixed valves. These features make this valve an ideal fit for installation in our tidal environments.
Background/Explanation:
Public Works has identified priority areas where tidal flooding is impacting neighborhoods and has a detrimental effect on the condition of the roadway. Installation of check values (backflow prevention devices) within the stormwater outfall pipes will minimize tidal flooding in these areas. This project aligns with the Resilient Pinellas Action Plan, Resilient Infrastructure, Goal 1 to appropriately management stormwater, storm surge, and sea level rise, and future land uses to reduce flooding impacts.
FFVE, LLC is the territorial manufacturer’s exclusive authorized reseller for Proco products in the state of Florida.
