Approval of the award of bid and execution of agreement with CDW Government LLC (CDW), as requested by the Business Technology Services Department (BTS), for NetApp Storage Systems.

 

                     This contract provides BTS a mechanism for requirements of support and maintenance including hardware and software purchases related to growth for the Storage Area Network solution.

                     The contract provides for both ongoing and future storage capacity needs for on premise and cloud solutions in support of County applications such as, the Oracle Project Unified Solution, Justice Consolidated Case Management System, and the Geographic Information System.

                     Award in the amount of $4,635,000.00 for a duration of thirty-six months.

                     One responsive bid was received with award recommendation to CDW as only responsive and responsible bidder due to market conditions.

                     This contract replaces Contract No. 178-0127-S with ExtenSys, Inc.

 

Contract No. 21-0686-B(PW) in the estimated annual expenditure of $1,545,000.00 for a thirty-six-month total of $4,635,000.00; Authorize the Chairman to sign and Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

This contract will provide for ongoing and future storage capacity needs for on premise and cloud solutions in support of County applications such as, the Oracle Project Unified Solution (OPUS), Justice Consolidated Case Management System (CCMS) and the Geographic Information System (GIS).

Background Information:

On November 19, 2021, the Purchasing Division, on behalf of BTS, released an invitation to bid with the intent to establish a contract for the purchase of NetApp Storage Systems. On December 16, 2021 the bid submittal due date was extended one (1) week in an effort to generate competition. On December 23, 2021 one (1) responsive bid was received. Other vendors were contacted and did not bid due to market conditions.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Thirty-six (36) month contract total not to exceed: $4,635,000.00

 

Funding is derived from Business Technology Services Infrastructure operating funds.
