Recommended Action

Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Third Amendment (term extension) to the Agreement with Econolite Systems, Inc. for software supporting advanced traffic management system implementation and maintenance services.

 

                     This contract provides for the supply, installation and implementation of the main Advanced Traffic Management System (ATMS) software (Centracs) in the County Transportation Primary Control Center (PCC).

                     This Third Amendment extends the term for one-year and continues the maintenance services of Centracs ATMS Services at the yearly price of $56,363.00 and is backdated to July 1, 2023 for record-keeping purposes.

                     Authority for the County Administrator to approve and execute this Amendment is granted under Code Section 2-62(a)(2).

                     This contract was competitively solicited and awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on October 20, 2020. The First Amendment was for a time only extension, which was approved by the Purchasing and Risk Management Division Director on January 11, 2022. The Second Amendment was to acknowledge the Corporate acquisition of Econolite Systems, Inc., by EGI Intermediate Inc, which was approved August 5, 2022.

                     Funding is budgeted under the ATMS Central Software Purchase (Project 003775A), included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Local Option Fuel Tax in the amount of $54,000.00.

 

Contract No. 189-0215-P increase in the amount of $56,363.00, for a revised not-to-exceeded total amount of $1,819,983.42.
