Summary:
This request seeks to reject the one (1) responsive bid received for requirements of grit removal services on the basis of insufficient competition. At least two (2) vendors indicated they did not have time to bid.
This service is utilized to remove organic and inorganic solids from tanks at Utilities wastewater treatment plants.
Background/Explanation:
On April 7, 2016, Purchasing, on behalf of Utilities, released an invitation to bid for annual requirements of grit removal services.
Research will be conducted in an attempt to locate additional sources; this requirement will be re-bid in the near future.
