Approval of the Third Amendment to the Agreement with AVCON, Inc., for the New Airco Taxiways - Professional Engineering Services.
• This contract provides for the New Airco Taxiways - Professional Engineering Services.
• The Third Amendment increases the contract by $190,465.00 for a revised not to exceed amount of $2,202,010.25 and extends the contract by one hundred fifty-three (153) consecutive calendar days through June 1, 2027, for additional construction phase services.
• This agreement is budgeted for in the FY26 Budget of PIE in the Airport Revenue and Operating Fund. In the event that future fiscal year funding is not available for this project, the County maintains the authority to terminate this agreement.
Contract No. 21-0552-NC increase in the amount of $190,465.00 for a revised not to exceed expenditure of $2,202,010.25, effective through June 1, 2027.

Summary:
The Third Amendment increases the contract by $190,465.00 and extends the duration to June 1, 2027, for additional construction phase services inclusive of construction management, administration, and inspection services, and quality assurance materials testing.
Background/Explanation:
The original contract was awarded by the BCC on December 7, 2021, in the amount of $1,516,305.00. The First Amendment was approved by the Purchasing Director on November 17, 2023, for a time only extension through February 15, 2025. The Second Amendment was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on June 11, 2024, increasing the contract by $495,240.25 and extending through December 31, 2026, for redesign of partial taxiway D, a perimeter road and fence, and relocate taxiway G including stormwater canal.
