Approval and execution by the County Administrator of Change Order No. 2 with Kamminga & Roodvoets, Inc. for 22nd Avenue South (51st Street South - 34th Street South) roadway improvements project.

 

                     This agreement was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on August 15, 2023.

                     Change Order No. 1 increased the contract in the amount of $61,564.80 for a revised total not to exceed $7,534,852.10.

                     Change Order No. 2 Final decrease in the amount of ($255,364.85) for a revised total not to exceed $7,279,487.25.

                     The project was substantially complete on 2-12-2025 and obtained final completion on 5-28-2025. Liquidated damages do not apply, as the county received substantial and beneficial use on 2-12-2025. Final inspections of the project for all work performed under the contract were conducted by representatives of the Public Works Construction Management Division.

                     Final quantities have been tabulated, resulting in a net decrease of ($255,364.85). This is the difference between estimated and final quantities.

                     Funding for this project is budgeted under the 22nd Ave S - 51st St S to 34th St S Roadway Improvement Project 000087A, included in the Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Penny for Pinellas and American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA).

 

Contract No. 23-0326-ITB-C; decrease in the amount of ($255,364.85) for a revised total not to exceed $7,279,487.25.

Background/Explanation:

The project was substantially complete on 2-12-2025 and obtained final completion on 5-28-2025. Liquidated damages do not apply, as the county received substantial and beneficial use on 2-12-2025. Final inspections of the project for all work performed under the contract were conducted by representatives of the Public Works Construction Management Division. All work has been completed per the construction contract documents.
