Recommended Action:
Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Annual Facility Permit Agreement between Raytheon Company, Pinellas County Industrial Development Authority and Pinellas County.
• Recommend a new agreement with Raytheon Company to facilitate any construction, remodeling, or renovation in a timely manner, during the next year, in efforts not to impede productivity at the Raytheon buildings.
• This agreement allows Raytheon Company to obtain an annual Building permit to do construction in buildings at 7887 Bryan Dairy Road, 8058 114th Avenue North and 8020 114th Avenue North in Largo, FL 33777 without requiring scheduled routine in-progress inspections.
• Comparable agreements have been granted during previous years with other companies.

Summary:
This is a new agreement allowing Raytheon Company to obtain a yearly Building permit for each of their buildings to do construction in buildings at 7887 Bryan Dairy Road, 8058 114th Avenue North and 8020 114th Avenue North in Largo, FL 33777 without the requirement of scheduled routine in-progress inspections for five years.
Background/Explanation:
This agreement allows Raytheon Company to obtain an annual Building permit for each of their buildings to do construction in buildings at 7887 Bryan Dairy Road, 8058 114th Avenue North, and 8020 114th Avenue North in Largo, FL 33777 without requiring scheduled routine in-progress inspections. Comparable agreements have been granted during previous years for other companies with a high degree of success. Final inspections may be conducted by Building Services upon completion. Raytheon Company further agrees to hold the County harmless from the construction process during the specified time. This agreement has been approved by the Building and Development Review Services Department.
Fiscal Impact:
Raytheon Company will pay an annual fee of $125.00 per trade for a Facility Permit Fee. This will be allocated to the Building Services Fund and is included in the FY21 Adopted Budget.

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Agreement is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(1)
