Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment exercise the term extension to the agreement with NDL, LLC dba Natural Designs Landscaping.

 

                     This contract provides grounds maintenance for Public Works medians, right of way and pond out parcels.

                     This Second Amendment exercises the first twenty-four (24) month extension of the agreement and increases the contract in the amount of $1,540,561.12 for a revised contract not-to-exceed amount of $3,448,122.84.

                     Per code section 2-188(d), the County Administrator has the authority to approve “term extensions” awarded by the Board of County Commissioners per the pricing, terms and conditions of the original award.

                     The original agreement was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on April 13, 2023, in the amount of $1,540,561.12.  On February 4, 2025 the County Administrator approved a $367,000.60 increase to the contract not-to-exceed amount.

                     Funding is budgeted in the Public Works Department’s General Fund operating budget.

This contract provides grounds maintenance, Public Works medians, right of way and pond out parcels. The Second Amendment ensures that the services provided under the contract continue.

 

Background/Explanation:

The original agreement was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on April 13, 2023, in the amount of $1,540,561.12. The First Amendment was approved by the County Administrator on February 4, 2025, adding $367,000.60 to allow for the provision of debris cleanup services no longer provided by inmates of the Pinellas County Jail.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Current Approved contract not-to-exceed amount:     $1,907,561.72

Second Amendment increase:                                    $1,540,561.12

Total revised contract not-to-exceed amount:             $3, 448,122.84

 

Funding is budgeted in the Public Works Department’s General Fund operating budget.

 

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this amendment is granted under Code Section 2-188(d).
