• DHS will reimburse the County one hundred (100%) percent of project costs. No County match required.
• Recipient’s signature is not required on the Agreement.

Summary:
This amendment provides additional funding in the amount of $2,587.00 in support of the existing BioWatch Program. The grant funding is one hundred (100%) percent reimbursable. There is no County match required.
Background/Explanation:
This project has been ongoing since 2003 and is subject to certain information security restrictions per DHS. BioWatch program field operations and sample collection activities are conducted by the County’s Air Quality Section. Work under this award involves access to sensitive information from the federal government which must be protected and safeguarded from public disclosure in compliance with local, state or federal laws.
All information is considered sensitive, but unclassified for official use only, and is not for public disclosure. Any public records requests made relating to this agreement should be directed to DHS.
Fiscal Impact:
This amendment increases funding by $2,587.00 for the project period, May 1, 2021 to April 30, 2022. The grant provides one hundred (100%) percent reimbursement of eligible costs. No County match is required.
This contract provides unanticipated funding to the FY22 Adopted Budget for the Public Works Department, Environmental Management Division.
