• This solicitation was for professional design build services for the Education Center Display Replacement Project.
• Two firms submitted and both were deemed not qualified under the Consultant Competitive Negotiation Act, Florida Statutes 287.055.
• Following review, Parks and Conservation Resources is requesting all competitive submittals be rejected.
• A new formal request for proposal for this project has already been re-released; rejection of proposals, by itself, has no fiscal impact
• Education Center Display Replacement at Nature Preserves, project 004174A, is budgeted in the Fiscal Year 2024-2029 Capital Improvement Program and funded by Local Infrastructure Sales Surtax (Penny for Pinellas).
Contract No. 24-0011-RFP-DB; no fiscal impact.

Following review, PCR is requesting all competitive submittals be rejected. A new formal RFP for this project has already been re-released.
Fiscal Impact:
Education Center Display Replacement at Nature Preserves, project 004174A, is budgeted in the FY24-FY29 Capital Improvement Program and funded by Local Infrastructure Sales Surtax (Penny for Pinellas).
Readvertising will result in an outward shift in estimates project expenditures.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to approve the rejection of competitive submittals is granted under Code Section 2-188(c).
