Recommended Action:

Recommended Action

Recommend the approval of an annual facility permit agreement with Raytheon Company to facilitate any construction, remodeling, or renovation in a timely manner, within the term of this agreement in efforts not to impede production at the Raytheon Company offices.

This agreement negates the need for individual permits.

The County may perform a final inspection of any of the projects completed during the prior years and term of the agreement.

This agreement runs through December 31, 2030.

This has no fiscal impact on Pinellas County.

Body

Background Information:

This agreement allows Raytheon Company to obtain a yearly Building permit to do construction in buildings at 7887 Bryan Dairy Road, #1444, Largo, FL 33777 without the requirement of scheduled routine in-progress inspections. Comparable agreements have been granted during previous years with a high degree of success. Final inspections may be conducted by the Buildings Department upon completion. Raytheon further agrees to deem the County hold harmless from the construction process during the specified time. This agreement has been approved by the Building Department.

Fiscal Impact:

This has no fiscal impact on Pinellas County because the annual facility permit is an existing permit type available to any commercial property owner. Raytheon selecting this permit option does not create new costs and does not reduce expected revenues. The fees associated with the annual permit are already part of the Building Services Department’s user fee schedule.
