Approval by the County Administrator of the modified BioWatch Program Grant Agreement with the United States Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
• This action adjusts the current budget and project period dates to May 31, 2023.
• Revision additionally authorizes $16,377.00 in carryover funding to accommodate the additional project month.
• All other previously outlined terms and conditions remain in effect.
• Recipient’s signature is not required on the Agreement.
• Grant funding is 100% reimbursable. There is no County match required.

Summary:
This modification provides an additional project month and funding in the amount of $16,377.00 in support of the existing BioWatch Program. The grant funding is 100% reimbursable. There is no County match required.
Background/Explanation:
This project has been ongoing since 2003 and is subject to certain information security restrictions per DHS. All information is considered sensitive, but unclassified for official use only, and is not for public disclosure. Any public records requests made relating to this agreement should be directed to DHS.
Fiscal Impact:
This modification increases funding by $16,377.00 for newly added portion of the project period (May 1, 2022 to May 31, 2023). The grant provides 100% reimbursement of eligible costs. No County match is required.
This contract is consistent with the FY2022 and FY2023 Adopted Budgets for the Public Works Department, Environmental Management Division. No amendment will be needed.
