Recommended Action:

Approval by the County Administrator of Change Order No. 1 to the contract with Extensys, Inc., as requested by the Business Technology Services Department (BTS), for Rubrik appliances and support. 

 

                     This contract provides for the management and maintenance of backup, archive, disaster recovery, and data management platforms in support of enterprise infrastructure services.

                     Change Order No. 1 provides current part numbers and pricing for Rubrik hardware and support which differs from the part numbers and quantities listed in the invitation to bid as corporate part numbers have changed since the award of the contract.       

                     Change Order No. 1 requests contingency in the amount of $140,000.00 (10% of original contract) for unspecified needs.

Summary:

This change order is necessary to provide proper detail regarding a corporate change of part numbers and quantities of Rubrik products for appliances and support since the approval of contract award. 

An increase is necessary for unspecified requirements as the original unspecified amount awarded has been depleted.   

 

Background/Explanation:

This contract was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on May 7, 2019.

This contract provides for the management and maintenance of backup, archive, disaster recovery and data management platforms in support of BTS enterprise infrastructure services for storage and backup. The purchase of Rubrik products and services allows BTS to reduce the management complexity of multiple platforms and enhance the capabilities to the enterprise infrastructure service and support staff.

 

Fiscal Impact:

Original award expenditure not to exceed:  $1,446,281.00

 

Increase expenditure not to exceed:  $140,000.00 (10% of original contract)

 

New revised total contract expenditure not to exceed:     $1,586,281.00

 

Estimated annual expenditure not to exceed:    $528,760.34

 

 

Funding is derived from the BTS Fund and is consistent with the FY20 Budget Request.

  

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to approve this Change Order is granted under Code Section 2-188(a).
