Summary:
The Supplemental JPA will help fund an Airport Master Plan that shall serve as a development guide to meet PIE’s future short-term (5 years), intermediate (10 years) and long-term (20 years) capital development needs. The last Airport Master Plan was completed in 2004.
Background/Explanation:
On March 13, 2017, the County Administrator approved the original JPA in the amount of $75,000.00 to help fund the Master Plan (Legistar #17-070D). The original JPA was to fund 5% of the $1,500,000.00 estimated cost of the Master Plan.
Due to the increased scope of work associated with the conceptual terminal building design plans, the negotiated FAA-approved cost of the Master Plan is $1,801,650.00. FDOT’s 5% share of this cost is $90,083.00, which is $15,083.00 more than the original JPA. This supplemental JPA will bring the state share to the full 5% of the Master Plan’s final cost.
