Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Grant Agreement with the State of Florida Division of Emergency Management.

 

                     Execution of the original Grant Agreement No. G0094.

                     Agreement awards grant funds in the amount of $45,415.97 for expenses related to Emergency Management preparedness, planning and recovery of COVID-19 related activities.

                     County dollar for dollar match required.

Summary:

The scope of work provides Pinellas County as sub-recipient grant award dollars up to $45,415.97 for eligible expenses related to COVID-19 through an Emergency Management Performance Grant Supplemental (EMPG-S) from the State of Florida.  The EMPG-S Grant is a cost-reimbursement agreement and requires a dollar for dollar match.

 

Background/Explanation:

Pinellas County will receive quarterly reimbursement for allowable expenses up to the grant amount. 
The grant has quarterly reporting requirements to identify expenses related to COVID-19.   The term of this contract is April 27, 2020 through June 30, 2021 to coincide with the State’s fiscal year. The grant was back-dated to April 27, 2020 to account for already incurred costs associated with COVID-19.  These costs can be used as dollar for dollar match.

 

Fiscal Impact:

The scope of work provides Pinellas County with $45,415.97 in awarded grant funds for eligible reimbursable expenses as related to COVID-19.  A County match of non-federal dollars equal to or greater than $45,415.97 has been identified from current-year expenditures.  The FY20 estimate will be updated to account for the additional revenue.

 

 

Delegated Authority:

Authority for the County Administrator to sign this Grant Agreement No. G0094 is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a)(2).
