Approval of the extension and increase by the County Administrator to the purchase authorization with Amazon.com Services LLC (Amazon) for Online Marketplace services.
• This purchase authorization provides a centralized platform providing oversight and control of the procurement of a variety of commodities including education, IT, maintenance, repair and operating items, and office supplies utilizing Amazon’s Online Marketplace services.
• This request extends the purchase authorization to align with the State of Utah, OMNIA Partners negotiated Contract No. MA3457 expiration term of May 5, 2025 and adds $720,000.00 to the purchase authorization to reflect the extension period. This increase results in an estimated average annual expenditure in the amount of $240,000.00 and total not to exceed expenditure of $960,000.00 through May 5, 2025.
• On February 19, 2021 the County Administrator approved this purchase authorization in the amount of $240,000.00 for a twelve (12) month term.

Summary:
This purchase authorization provides a centralized platform capable of oversight and control of the procurement of a variety of commodities including education, IT, maintenance, repair and operating items, and office supplies using Amazon’s Online Marketplace services with dynamic pricing.
Background/Explanation:
The State of Utah Division of Purchasing, acting as the Principal Procurement Agency with OMNIA Partners, Public Sector (OMNIA) issued a request for proposal on January 8, 2020, to establish a national cooperative contract for online marketplace services. The State of Utah, OMNIA and Amazon successfully negotiated Contract No. MA3457, and the State of Utah executed the agreement with a contract effective date of September 9, 2020.
On February 19, 2021, the County Administrator approved this purchase authorization in the amount of $240,000.00 for a twelve (12) month period.
