Summary:

Board approval will grant status to the Florida Dream Center for donation of surplus personal property.  The Florida Dream Center requested the donation for use in their Adopt-A-Block program.

Background Information:

The Board, per Florida State Statutes Section 274.05, is authorized to donate surplus property.  As a potential recipient, the Florida Dream Center will be provided notice of available surplus property and will be afforded opportunity to acquire surplus items by donation, prior to advertisement of the items for sale.

Determination has been made that the listed equipment, identified as Auction #426 is no longer needed to support County operations.

The Florida Dream Center’s Adopt-A-Block program aids specific communities in need of assistance.  The assistance includes street clean-up, home repairs, lawn maintenance, and other services.  The donated surplus equipment includes two (2) walk-behind mowers (asset #48824 and #48826) and a zero turn riding mower (asset #54889).  The mowing equipment will be used in the Lealman area.

Fiscal Impact:

Assets #48824 and #48826 are fully depreciated; asset #54889 has a net book value of $7,020.09.
