Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Purchase Authorization Agreement, as requested by the Business Technology Services (BTS) Department, with Gartner Inc. (Gartner) for Information Technology (IT) Research and Advisory Services.
• Through this agreement, Gartner provides research and advisory services to the BTS Chief Information Officer and the Chief Technology Officer of BTS in support of County IT services and strategy decisions.
• Pricing is per State of Florida Contract No. 81141902-VITA-18-ACS, valid through March 13, 2022, with three, one-year extensions available thereafter.
• Gartner has provided these services to the BTS department since 2007.

Summary:
This purchase authorization provides a mechanism for BTS to continue their subscription with Gartner for an IT Executives Chief Information Officer Signature Membership including one (1) delegate. The subscription is effective November 1, 2021 through October 31, 2022.
Pricing is per State of Florida Contract No. 81141902-VITA-18-ACS, valid through March 13, 2022, with three, one-year renewals available thereafter.
Background/Explanation:
Gartner has provided these services to Business Technology Services since 2007. This membership allows BTS to utilize the following: Assigned Service Delivery Team, Strategy Meetings, Executive Programs Research and Related Content, Professional Development and Content, Research Advisor Inquiry, Gartner for IT Leaders Research and Related Content, Symposium/ITxpo® with Executive Programs VIP Access, Networking for the Delegate, and Executive Programs Events.

Funding is derived from BTS Department operating funds.
