Approval of the Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) between Pinellas County and Creative Pinellas, Inc. reaffirming the designation of Creative Pinellas Inc., a Florida Non-Profit Corporation, as the Local Arts Agency pursuant to Pinellas County Code 90-143 and clarifying roles and responsibilities to accomplish the duties of the Local Arts Agency.
• The Local Arts Agency designation by the County allows Creative Pinellas Inc. funding support through specialty license plate fees collected within the county and other programs and grants provided through the State Division of Cultural Affairs.
• The MOU further clarifies the roles and responsibilities of Creative Pinellas Inc. to accomplish the duties of a Local Arts Agency consistent with Pinellas County Code, Sec. 90-143.
• Responsibility for oversight of the agreement on behalf of the County will be with the Parks and Conservation Resources Department.
• The term of the agreement is October 1, 2026, through September 30, 2027, with an automatic annual renewal unless terminated by either party with 60 days’ notice.
• This MOU, by itself, has no fiscal impact on Pinellas County. There is no County funding support associated with this agreement.
