Adopt a resolution dedicating a portion of County-owned property known as West Klosterman Preserve as public right-of-way (ROW) for West Klosterman Road.

The property was purchased by the County on April 8, 2025 as an addition to the Mariners Point Management Area.

The property has existing sidewalk and roadway improvements on West Klosterman Road, which are being used by the general public.

Segment to be dedicated as ROW will provide seamless connection to the adjoining ROW to the east and west.

This resolution has no fiscal impact to Pinellas County.

Body

Background Information:

The County purchased the West Klosterman Preserve on April 8, 2025 from the Pinellas County School Board as an addition to the Mariners Point Management Area.   A southern portion of the property contains existing sidewalk and roadway infrastructure along West Klosterman Road.  In an effort to make the County-owned property contiguous with the adjoining ROW to the east and west, it is recommended that such portion be dedicated as public ROW.
