• This contract provides for installation of a new freight elevator in the terminal building.
• One bid was received with DS Jordan Construction, Inc. as the only responsive, responsible bidder in the amount of $381,731.50.
• Two other potential contractors were contacted and indicated they declined to bid due to current market conditions preferring to target larger projects.
• DS Jordan will meet the SBE commitment of 7% for this project.
• All work will be completed within 180 consecutive calendar days from issuance of notice to proceed.
Contract No. 22-0115-CP-MJ (PID No. 004352A) in the amount of $381,731.50 on the basis of being the only responsive, responsible bid received meeting specifications; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Background Information:
The new service elevator will be utilized for the second-floor restaurant, vendor usage for deliveries and building maintenance purposes. The existing elevators are currently being shared with airport passengers and do not allow a separate means of transporting goods and materials to the second floor. The new freight elevator will allow separation from the public, provide a more efficient means of transporting goods and materials and reduce wear and tear of the public elevators.
One bid was received, as other vendors indicated they were unable to bid due to targeting larger projects.
Fiscal Impact:
Amount not to exceed: $381,731.50
Funding for this award is inconsistent with the FY22 Approved Budget for the Installation of New Service Elevator (004352A.) Additional funding has been requested for this project as part of the FY23 budget development cycle.
