Approval of the Second Amendment Term Extension with Unite USA, Inc. d/b/a Unite Us (Unite Us) for the Behavioral Health Coordinated Access Model (Care About Me), Contract No. 22-0101-P.
• This Second Amendment allows for a contract extension through September 30, 2027; furthermore, the department requests that delegated authority be granted to the Purchasing Director to terminate the agreement for convenience so notification can be delivered to the contractor within a single calendar day.
• This Amendment provides for the continuation of CAM with Unite Us while the Human Services Department transitions to a new, competitively procured CAM Team provider that will utilize an internal CAM platform developed with County-owned technology.
• An amount not to exceed $1,368,675.49 is allocated from City/County Opioid Settlement Funds for Fiscal Year (FY) 2027 for this amendment. This amendment will allow the County to maintain a month-to-month contract.
Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Background Information:
This Contract No. 22-0101-P was awarded by the Board of County Commissioners on October 13, 2022. The First Amendment updated terms and conditions including Unite Us to serve as the primary provider, perform initial behavioral health assessments, triage and set appointments with service providers, integrate with crisis care, and provide connections to telehealth psychiatry and prescription provider consultations, when appropriate.
Fiscal Impact:
Contract not-to-exceed amount: $9,158,372.76
An amount not to exceed $1,368,675.49 will be allocated from City/County Opioid Settlement Funds for FY27 for this Amendment. The Initial Estimated Five (5) Year Expenditure Not-to-Exceed: $9,158,372.76. This amendment has no fiscal impact.
