Body
Strategic Plan:
Deliver First Class Services to the Public and Our Customers
5.1 Maximize partner relationships and public outreach
5.2 Be responsible stewards of the public’s resources
5.3 Ensure effective and efficient delivery of county services and support
Summary:
Sharing of the radio system spectrum utilized by PSTA with its two non-profit partners, Jolley Trolley and Looper Group, both controlled by PSTA, provides economies of scale and meets the regional goal of interoperability and interagency communications.
Background/Explanation:
The original ILA was effective March 20, 2018 with five (5) additional one (1) year periods upon written agreement of the parties. The current renewal term is from October 1, 2019 through September 30, 2020.
Fiscal Impact:
PSTA’s portion of annual maintenance based on their portion of airtime is $71,030.00. PSTA will pay the County an additional $3,000.00 annual access fee for Jolley Trolley and Looper Group. This results in sharing a percentage of the cost for the radio system infrastructure maintenance. Cost recovery to the County will be allocated between the General Fund, Intergovernmental Radio Communications Fund, and Emergency Medical Services Fund and is consistent with the FY20 Adopted Budget.
Delegated Authority:
Authority for the County Administrator to sign this ILA is granted under Code Section 2-62 (a) (1).
