Summary:
In accordance with 24 CFR 91, Pinellas County must submit an Annual Action Plan which identifies specific projects and activities to be undertaken each year to address the needs identified in the Five-Year Consolidated Plan and further the identified priorities and strategies. The Action Plan contains the application for HOME Investment Partnership (HOME), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG), and Emergency Solutions Grant (ESG) funds.
The purpose of the public hearing is to receive comments, suggestions, and views on the proposed FY 2017-2018 Action Plan. In addition to the public hearing a 30-day public comment period was held to solicit input on the Action Plan.
The deadline for submission of the FY 2017-2018 Action Plan to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is August 15, 2017. The recommended public hearing date of June 20, 2017 allows sufficient time to prepare the materials necessary for submission.

Pinellas County receives an annual entitlement allocation of federal CDBG, HOME, and ESG funds. FY18 funding amounts identified below are estimates based on FY17 funding levels and projected program income. At this time, HUD has not announced FY18 entitlement allocations which are dependent upon Congressional budget approval.
