Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to exercise the term extension to the Agreement with Habitat for Humanity of Pinellas County, Inc to support projects that further the Lealman Community Redevelopment Area’s economic development.
• This amendment will allow Habitat to continue to administer the Housing Investment Program providing for the construction of single-family homes for residents earning less than 120% of Area Median Income.
• This amendment exercises the twenty-four (24) month extension through June 19, 2027 and increases the contract by $1,000,000.00 for a revised total contract value of $2,500.000.00.
• The County Administrator has the authority to increase this contract per County Code 2-62(a)(12) as this is an extension that was originally Board of County Commissioner (Board) approved.
• The original award was approved by the Board on June 21, 2022, in the amount of $3,650,000.00. The First Amendment was approved by the Board on July 30, 2024, added the option to extend the agreement with Habitat for two (2) additional years, and canceled for convenience the agreement with Rebuilding Together Tampa Bay to administer the Housing Rehabilitation Program.
• Funding for this agreement is included in the FY25 Operating Budget for Lealman CRA in the Lealman Community Redevelopment Agency Trust Fund.
Contract No. 22-0058-LI; increases the contract in the amount of $1,000,000.00; for a revised not-to-exceed amount of $2,500.000.00 for 24-months through June 19, 2027.
