Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Second Amendment to the Agreement with Waste Management Inc. of Florida for Trash and Recycling Services.

 

                     This contract provides trash and recycling collection services at various county locations.

                     The Second Amendment updates collection services at multiple locations, adds funds in the amount of $110,786.00 for the CPI increase and extends the contract 12 days (to 9/30/2026) to align the contract with the monthly billing frequency.

                     The original Three (3) Year contract was approved by the Board of County Commissioners on September 19, 2023.  The First Amendment, added funds and modified service levels and frequencies, was approved by the Director of Purchasing on July 6, 2024.

                     Funding for this agreement is specifically included in the FY25 Operating Budget for Construction and Property Management (CPM), Economic Development (PCED), Parks and Conservation Resources (PCR), and Pinellas County Utilities (PCU) in the General Fund, STAR Center Operations and Maintenance Fund, Water Revenue and Operating Fund, and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund.

 

Contract No. 23-1090-ITB increase in the amount of $110,786.00, for a revised contract value of $5,056,607.50 and extend the contract 12 days for a new contract expiration date of September 30, 2026.

Funding for this agreement is specifically included in the FY25 Operating Budget for CPM, PCED, PCR, and PCU in the General Fund, STAR Center Operations and Maintenance Fund, Water Revenue and Operating Fund, and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund.
