Approval of Change Order No. 1 with Southern Road and Bridge, LLC for bridge structures, fixed concrete maintenance, and minor repairs.
• This contract includes all mobilization, labor, supervision, quality control, new materials, equipment, tools, vehicles, supplies, testing, maintenance of traffic, demobilization, and incidentals to remedy bridge maintenance needs on an as-needed basis.
• Increase the agreement by $5,000,000.00 for a revised agreement amount of $9,674,762.75 to address the level of service enhancements due to additional milage funding. The change order extends the same terms and conditions as the original contract.
• The Board of County Commissioners awarded to Southern Road in the amount of $4,674,762.75, on May 7, 2024. The contract has a maximum 3 year term.
• Funding for this contract and change order is included in the Fiscal Year (FY) 2025 Adopted Budget and FY26 Budget Request of the Public Works Department Transportation Trust Fund. The agreement includes the appropriate termination clauses, and work is performed on an as-needed basis should funding not be available in future years.
Contract No. 24-0211-ITB-C increase for $5,000,000.00 for a revised agreement amount of $9,674,762.75; Authorize the Chairman to sign and the Clerk of the Circuit Court to attest.

Background Information:
The work under this contract includes all mobilization, labor, supervision, quality control, new materials, equipment, tools, vehicles, supplies, testing, maintenance of traffic, demobilization, and incidentals to remedy fixed bridge and box culvert maintenance needs. Maintenance is to include cleaning and coating of surfaces, painting and sealing cracks, rehabilitation of expansion joints, restoring spalled areas, miscellaneous landscaping maintenance (mowing, tree trimming, and/or edging), debris removal and various concrete repair.

Original Agreement amount: $4,674,762.75
Increase due to Change Order No. 1: 5,000,000.00
Revised Agreement Amount: $9,674,762.75
