Recommended Action

Sitting as the Countywide Planning Authority, adopt an ordinance approving Case No. CW 20-07, a proposal by the City of Largo to amend the Countywide Plan Map from Recreation/Open Space to Employment, regarding 5.62 acres more or less, located at Highland Avenue South East, approximately 400 feet south of East Bay Drive.

 

                     The subject property is currently vacant and is proposed for the development of a three-story self-storage facility with enclosed/covered boat/RV/vehicle storage.

                     A Development Agreement is on file limiting the use to a self-storage facility with an accessory office.

                     Forward Pinellas and the Planners Advisory Committee each voted unanimously to recommend approval of this proposal.

Forward Pinellas, in its role as the Pinellas Planning Council, voted 12-0 to recommend approval of the proposal.  The Planners Advisory Committee recommended approval of the case by a vote of 14-0.
