Approval of the Hazard Mitigation Grant Program Point of Contact (POC) form modification with the Florida Division of Emergency Management for the Countywide Mast Arm Hardening, Utility Projective Measures Project.
• Grant modification consists of staff name change to POC form. The former POC has left the County, and a new POC is necessary.
• The previous POC form was signed by the Board of County Commissioners (Board) Chairman at the time the Agreement was approved. The County Attorney recommends the Board Chairman to sign the revised POC form.
• There is no fiscal impact.

The HMGP POC form modification consists of a staff name change to the POC form. This action is necessitated by the former POC leaving County employment. There is no fiscal impact to this request. The previous POC form was signed by the Board Chair at the time the Agreement was approved. The County Attorney recommends the Board Chair sign the POC form to be consistent.

Background Information:
FDEM has approved an extension to the Period of Performance for this Agreement and is currently reviewing a request for additional funding to further support completion of the project. As a result, FDEM has requested the County update the POC form.
The original Grant Agreement was approved for 16 Countywide Mast Arm Hardening, Utility Projective Measures intersection locations. Seven (7) locations are currently under construction and coming close to completion, five (5) locations have been bid and are awaiting award for construction, four (4) locations have been removed from the grant due to complications in design, permitting, or conflict with other projects.
