This contract is to reimburse Reworld for emergency repairs made to the County’s WTE Facility damaged by Hurricanes Helene and Milton in October 2024.
Background/Explanation:
The WTE Facility was damaged by both hurricanes. Reworld provides a list of damages after post hurricane inspections. The Solid Waste Department reviewed the list and issued a notice to proceed with Reworld to order needed materials and complete the repairs.
Reworld completed the repairs in Spring 2025. The invoices provided by Reworld had deficiencies and were rejected. Furthermore, Reworld did not provide proof of payment for the completed work by their subcontractors and didn’t receive final proof of inspection by the Solid Waste Department.
After several attempts, the last being early 2026, Reworld has the documentation in place and staff are currently inspecting the work. This contract PO will provide the vehicle to reimburse Reworld once all payment criterion is met.
