Background/Explanation:
In the absence of state film incentives, the Film Commission, a department of the CVB, administers an incentive program to position the destination as a location for small budget film and digital projects, social media productions, and music videos.
Marketing benefits are only one aspect of this production. The County also benefits from the 50 local hires, approximately 100 rooms a night, and the spending of at least $100,000.00 in Pinellas County, which are a result of this production being filmed in the County.
“The Last Time” is a feature film starring a highly marketable cast and positioned for broad commercial appeal. The production company plans a limited theatrical release across 10-15 major U.S. markets, including Los Angeles, New York, Chicago, Atlanta, Austin, Tampa, and New Orleans. In addition, the film is partnering with a distribution company to debut on SVOD and AVOD platforms such as Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime Video, and Tubi.
The Last Time, LLC will employ approximately 50 local crew members, generate an estimated 100 hotel room nights, and spend a minimum of $100,000 in Pinellas County. The project also delivers additional marketing value, including advertising and editorial outreach through national trade publications and regional outlets. Public relations efforts will include cast and filmmaker interviews, as well as 30-60 second promotional spots on national broadcast radio networks.
