Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the First Amendment with EFE, Inc. DBA Everglades Equipment Group for Handheld Power Tools, Accessories and Parts.
• This contract provides handheld power tools, accessories and parts for four County departments - Public Works (PW), Parks and Conservation Resources (PCR), Construction and Property Management, and Utilities. PW and PCR are the primary users of the contract.
• This First Amendment increases the contract by $241,000.00 for a revised total contract amount of $782,900.00, effective through May 19, 2027.
• This contract was competitively solicited and awarded by the County Administrator on May 20, 2022.
• This agreement is used on an as-needed basis with no obligation to spend the full amount of the contract or to spend in any given year. Funding for this amendment is included in the FY26 budget in multiple Departments in multiple operating funds. Funding for future years of this agreement will likely be included in future budgets.

Summary:
This contract is for annual requirements of outdoor handheld power tools, accessories, and parts as needed. There is no increase to the contract pricing, only the quantities purchased under this contract.
Purchasing will be re-soliciting a new bid in the near future as department utilization has increased since initial contract award.
