Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Contract for Sale and Purchase of Easement between Jeannine Fitzgerald (Owner) and Pinellas County (County) for use of vacant parcel number 19-32-16-90900-011-0200 located on the SE corner of Monte Cristo Boulevard and 6th Street West in Tierra Verde (Property).
• In support of the Pass-a Grille to Tierra Verde Water Main Replacement (Project), the county requested a temporary construction easement over the Property for the laydown and storage of equipment and parking for the duration of the Project.
• The purchase price for this easement is $35,000.00.
• Funding for this acquisition is available under Pass-a-Grille to Tierra Verde Water Main Replacement project 006423A, included in the FY25 Operating and Capital Budget and the FY25-FY30 Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Water Renewal and Replacement, in the amount of $4,100,000.00. Funds budgeted in excess of this agreement amount are for other project costs.

Summary:
Approval and execution of this Contract for Sale and Purchase will allow the County to acquire a Temporary Construction Easement on the Property in support of the Project.
Background/Explanation:
The County is replacing a leaking subaqueous water main between 9th Avenue in Pass-a-Grille and 6th Street in Tierra Verde.
Utilities is in need of this Temporary Construction Easement on the parcel. The purpose of the easement is for the laydown and storage of equipment and parking for the Project. The use of this parcel will avoid having to use Right of Way which would close streets and limit driveway access for residents.
Fiscal Impact:
Funding for this acquisition is available under Pass-a-Grille to Tierra Verde Water Main Replacement project 006423A, included in the FY25 Operating and Capital Budget and the FY25-FY30 Capital Improvement Plan, funded by the Water Renewal and Replacement, in the amount of $4,100,000.00. Year-to-date actual expenditures for FY25 are $96,315.22.
