Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the First Amendment to the purchase authorization agreement with ErgoFlex Systems, Inc dba Xybix Systems, Inc. (Xybix) for public safety communications products, services, and solutions.
• The purchase authorization with Xybix provides Safety and Emergency Services (SES) with replacement console furniture for the Regional 911 Center and Pinellas Safety Communications Office (PSCO) teletypewriter center.
• This first amendment increases the agreement by $9,063.00 for a revised total of $1,649,417.77 to provide for cabling changes due to monitor configuration changes required due to delay in the Hexagon project.
• Pricing, terms, and conditions are per State of Florida Contract No. 43190000-22-NASPOACS, effective through December 30, 2026.
• County Code 2-164 (b) (1) provides delegated authority to the County Administrator to award State of Florida purchase authorizations in any amount.
• Funding is derived from the requisitioning department operating budget
• Funding in the amount of $1,875,000.00 has been included in the FY25 SES operating budget for under fund 1025 for Emergency Communications.

The purchase authorization was approved by the County Administrator on May 30, 2025, in the amount of $1,640,354.77; pricing per State of Florida Contract No. 43190000-22-NASPOACS, effective through December 30, 2026.

Funding in the amount of $1,875,000.00 has been included in the FY25 SES operating budget for under fund 1025 for Emergency Communications.
