Recommended Action

Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Agreement with Neighborly Care Network, Inc. (Neighborly) to provide food and nutritional services through the Meals on Wheels program.

•                     This Agreement will provide funding for approximately 25,000 meals to homebound seniors annually.

•                     Funding in an amount not to exceed $200,000.00 was first approved as a recurring budget item in Fiscal Year 2019 (FY19). It was amended in 2023 to increase capacity and again in 2025 to allow for food costs increases. A decision package in the amount of $4,008.00 was recommended during the FY26 Budget Information Session to continue to allow for the food cost increases.

•                     This new Agreement term begins October 1, 2025, and expires on September 30, 2028, with one (1) two-year option to renew in the amount of $214,008.00 annually and $642,024.00 for the initial contract term.
