Summary:

This Assurance provides confirmation to FDOT that the County abides by the current Federal Title VI laws pertaining to nondiscrimination. The County is required to enter into a Title VI Nondiscrimination Assurance with FDOT as part of a recertification process to continue receiving federal funding, including funding from the Federal Highway Administration (FHWA).

The County accomplishes compliance with Title VI laws through the Office of Human Rights. The Director of Human Rights serves as the County’s Title VI Officer, and the Human Rights’ website hosts Pinellas County’s Title VI Nondiscrimination Policy and Grievance Procedure, the Limited English Proficiency Plan, as well as a Title VI Complaint Form.
