• The beer/wine will be provided by Great Bay Distributor of St. Petersburg, a local beer and wine sponsor for numerous events held in Pinellas County. Beer & wine will be sold to attendees at $4.00-$7.00 during the hours of 12:00PM-6:00PM. We will request enough beer & wine to sell to approximately 3,000 attendees throughout the event, with 1,000 attendees at any given time.
• The beer in kegs and the wine in aluminum wine containers will be kept in a refrigerator trailer and served via tap into a plastic cup from the bar area under a tent.
• The beer & wine will be poured by adult volunteers, of legal age, who have been properly trained and under the direction of Zelda O’Connell. Zelda O’Connell has over 10 years’ experience with countless community events. Zelda O’Connell will be onsite to train volunteers and supervise the process.
• No one will be served without proper ID proving their age to be 21 years or older.
• Beer & wine will not be provided until 12:00PM and will stop being sold at 5:45PM. There will be no access to any remaining beer & wine after 5:45PM. Unused beer and wine will be returned to Great Bay Distributors.
• We will have 4 Sheriff Deputies patrolling the park. There will be 6 signs for “No alcohol beyond this point” placed in key areas with trash cans. Event volunteers will also be available to remind attendees to discard their drinks before leaving. In addition, there will be volunteer deputies handling traffic areas to ensure no one leaves with an alcoholic drink.
