Approval and execution by the County Administrator of temporary alcohol waiver for the the Pinellas Education Foundation Holiday Party hosted by the Florida Botanical Foundation on December 11, 2024.
• The wine/beer will be provided by the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation. The wine/beer will be given to attendees at no charge during the hours of 6:00-7:45 p.m. We will request enough wine/beer to serve approximately 50-75 people.
• The wine in bottles, and beer in cans, will be kept iced in coolers and poured into plastic cups for consumption.
• The wine/beer will be poured and served by volunteers, of legal drinking age, under the direction of the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation. Anyone who even appears to be under the age of 21 will be required to show legal identification. No one will be served without proper ID proving their age to be 21 or older.
• Wine/beer will not be provided until 6:00 p.m. There will be no access to any remaining wine after 7:45 p.m. Unused wine and cups will be returned to the Florida Botanical Gardens Foundation.
• We will create a bar using a table in the Majeed Discovery Garden, restricting all wine/beer to be served within the Outdoor Classroom building. We will limit the consumption of wine/beer to the adjacent patio area, called the ‘Roots n Shoots’ and the rest of the Majeed Discovery Garden will be barricaded off, and the entry points closed to the public.
