Recommended Action

Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the Agreement with Core & Main LP for the requirements of industrial plumbing supplies.

•                     This Agreement is for industrial plumbing supplies on an as needed basis for the Utilities department.

•                     This Agreement is for 24 months with provision for two (2) twenty-four (24) month extensions.

•                     On March 6, 2024, ITB No. 24-0234-ITB was advertised for industrial plumbing supplies, with the duration for solicitation extended several times to foster competition.  The solicitation contained more than 1,000 lines of plumbing materials. Three bids were received; however, numerous items were “no-bid”.  Core and Main LP has the inventory and ability to provide the “no-bid” items from the previous competitive process to ensure non interrupted supply for the Utilities Department.  Core and Main LP did not participate in the original competitive process for industrial plumbing supplies.

•                     This agreement is sufficiently budgeted for in the FY25 Budget of PCU in the Water Revenue and Operating Fund and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund. This agreement includes the appropriate termination clauses should funding not be available.

Contract No. 24-1003-N in the total not to exceed amount of $243,243.56 for a 24-month term, with an estimated annual expenditure of $121,621.78.
