The First Amendment extends the agreement one year through September 18, 2025, and increases the contract expenditure in the amount of $182,002.00 for a new total contract expenditure of $345,883.00.
Background/Explanation:
The County Administrator approved this contract on September 19, 2023, in the amount of $163,831.00 for a 12-month term.
Public Works has identified priority areas where tidal flooding is impacting neighborhoods and has a detrimental effect on the condition of the roadway. Installation of check values (backflow prevention devices) within the stormwater outfall pipes will minimize tidal flooding in these areas. This project aligns with the Resilient Pinellas Action Plan, Resilient Infrastructure, Goal 1 to appropriately management stormwater, storm surge, and sea level rise, and future land uses to reduce flooding impacts.
