Approval and execution by the County Administrator of the agreement with Alexon, LLC for rodent eradication services.
• This agreement is for on-going maintenance program to mitigate re-infestation at County-owned properties.
• A notice of intent to sole source rodent eradication services was advertised by the Purchasing Department via OpenGov on March 29, 2024. There were no responses to the advertisement.
• Agreement in the total not to exceed amount of $731,395.40 for a 60 month initial term.
• Funding for the first year of this purchase is sufficiently included in the FY24 Adopted Budget of the Department of Administrative Services, Economic Development, Public Works, Solid Waste, and Utilities in the General Fund, County Transportation Trust Fund, STAR Center Fund, Surface Water Utility Fund, Solid Waste Revenue and Operating Fund, Water Revenue and Operating Fund, and Sewer Revenue and Operating Fund. It is also included in the FY25 Budget draft. Funding for the second year of this agreement is partially included in the requested FY25 Budget submission and partially to be requested in future budgets. Funding for future years will likely be requested in future budgets.

Summary:
This non-competitive agreement with Alexon is to continue to provide rodent eradication services and provide an on-going maintenance program to mitigate re-infestation at County-owned properties. Eradicating rodents is a high priority to ensure County facilities are maintained in a healthy and safe manner for the benefit of its employees, the public, and neighboring properties.
