Body
Strategic Plan:
Deliver First Class Services to the Public and Our Customers
5.3 Ensure effective and efficient delivery of county services and support
Summary:
The removal and relocation of 12 street light poles by Duke Energy in the amount of $115,586.16 at the EPC Boot Ranch Apartment complex is necessary to complete the Pinellas Trail Loop North Gap-Lake Tarpon Outfall Canal Project. These poles are located on EPC Boot Ranch Apartment complex property for their parking lot. A right of way easement, encompassing these light poles, was necessary for the construction of the trail along the apartment complex and this segment of trail requires the relocation of these light poles. The County is responsible for payment for the relocation as the lighting was originally located for private purpose on private property. EPC Boot Ranch Apartments will be responsible for future maintenance of these lights.
The removal and relocation of a utility pole is necessary for construction of sidewalk along Indian Rocks Road as part of the Indian Rocks Road Sidewalk improvement project. This utility pole is an electrical service drop for 1405 Indian Rocks Rd, Largo which is owned by Pinellas County Utilities. As this pole is solely for electrical service for the County owned property, the County is responsible for the relocation cost of $14,404.10.
Combined total expenditure for both projects is in the amount of $129,990.26.
